In December of 1998 the Lord impressed upon my heart to teach a Bible study in our home in Webster, NY, under the covering of our home church, Koinonia Fellowship in East Rochester, and Senior Pastor Raymond Viola. By March of 1999 we began, and much to our delight, people began to come to our home for a time of worship, Bible study and fellowship. We enjoyed the blessing of this Friday evening gathering for about two and a half years at which time we began to run out of room in our home. Concurrently, the Lord placed a desire upon my heart to move the Bible study from our home to some unknown location in Irondequoit. It reminded me of the call that Abraham received from God when He said "Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee." God then confirmed His will through His Word with several passages from Deuteronomy giving instruction to "begin to possess the land", "possess the land, and "go in and possess the land". God had clearly spoken, so we began to "spy out the land" for a brief season until the Lord opened a place for us to meet at Bishop Kearney High School . We met there for two and a half years on Friday evenings, and on February 22, 2004 we were given permission to hold Sunday and Wednesday services there. During that time, the Lord opened up an opportunity to occupy a building right around the corner at 1440 East Ridge Road , a former Gold's Gym facility. In December of 2003 we started the process of obtaining the necessary planning and zoning approvals from the Town of Irondequoit to convert the facility into a church. The rest is HIStory. The Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us so richly. On January 2, 2005 we opened our doors for Sunday and Wednesday services in our new facility. We are called by God and dedicated to the expositional teaching of His Word to edify the Body of Christ, equip the believer, and bring souls to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We will continue to proclaim the Name of Jesus Christ until He comes to take us home. May Jesus be glorified as we proclaim Him and exalt His Holy Name. May the Lord Jesus Bless you.
